Metso said that it will supply a coated fine paper production line to Shandong Huatai Paper Company in Dong Ying City, Shandong Province, China, as reported by PaperAge journal.
The total value of the order is approximately EUR 170 million, Metso said.
The scope of deal includes a complete paper machine from headbox to reel, with related air systems and auxiliaries, and finishing systems.
Metso will also supply a comprehensive automation system that includes process, machine and quality controls, profilers, web inspection system, condition and runnability monitoring, and analyzers.
The new 8.1-meter-wide PM 8 has a design speed of 1,800 meters/minute and an annual capacity to produce nearly 500,000 tonnes of coated and uncoated fine papers.
The coater design speed is 2,000 m/min.
Start-up of the production line is scheduled for the first quarter of 2011, Metso said.
The Shandong Huatai mill is located in Dong Ying City, Shandong Province. Huatai Group has three production bases with an annual capacity of 1.6 million tonnes. |
